[ Kwang smiles, holding his free hand out to Junsu. He turns to his boyfriend fully, taking a shaky breath. ]
Sorry, I'm a little nervous. This - is a big thing, for me. You know I don't know much about where I come from, and all, but this is straight from old tribe spellbooks, so it's like. Traditional, I guess?
[ junsu's a bit... taken aback to hear that. in a good way. he takes kwang's hand and squeezes it. this is important, and of course it is, but he didn't think kwang would've used some ancient, traditional magic for him, not for a promise that wasn't quite official, more like a wish, a desire they share to be united long term one day.
Oh, don't worry, it's not going to do anything - it's not going to bind us properly or anything like that. It's just, the spell I used, it's not something I'm used to. But hopefully it worked.
[ He holds out the ring to Junsu, not wasting any more time trying to explain himself. It'll make more sense if he lets Junsu feel it.
The ring is wooden, but it glows a faint green. ]
The thing I've bound to it is a bit of my magic. So while you're wearing it, you'll have a tiny bit of magic, too. I'm not entirely sure how it'll manifest, though, maybe you'll be able to make charms, or throw a spell out. I've never done this before, so... We might have to try it out.
I didn't think you were, that wouldn't — that wouldn't make me nervous.
[ but it's the principle of the thing, the weight of kwang thinking of this and executing it for junsu, who doesn't feel worthy.
and when he hears just what it is kwang planned, his breathing stops and gets stuck in his throat. there's already a lump there. his eyes even fill with tears, almost instantly.
junsu reaches for the ring with shaky fingers mind reeling and yet still thinking it's so beautiful in the midst of it all. it's gorgeous and made just for him and it holds a piece of kwang's magic, like his necklace, but this time maybe useable to him like real magic.
he takes in a breath, but it's shaky and then ends with a sob. ]
[ The surprise in Junsu's eyes, in his words, in his tone of voice, it all makes Kwang's heart break a little, the desire to shield Junsu from any harm surging up in him fiercely.
Carefully, he slides the ring onto one of Junsu's fingers, not really caring which, knowing he'll have to feel the small spark of magic against his skin. Then, he reaches up, cupping Junsu's jaw with a hand. ]
Yeah, it's for you. [ Magic is something Junsu wishes to possess, and so that's what Kwang wants to give him. Everything. ]
You know I'd give you the moon, if I could. Anything you want.
[ he knows, but somehow it's really hitting him for the first time, maybe because kwang gave him something so meaningful to him. there's the necklace he wears, too, and that had been enough to move him a lot.
but this is even more.
he closes the distance between them so fast, throwing his arms around kwang's neck and burying his face against him. his breathing hitches and his voice sounds wet. he's a cry baby. he can't help himself. ]
[ It's possible that Kwang is a little surprised by the response. He wants Junsu to be happy and pleased, of course, but he didn't expect the tears, the overwhelming feeling that rises in his chest at hearing it.
His arms close around Junsu, pulling him closer, and he leans down to kiss Junsu's temple, a frown on his own face. ]
Are you okay? I'm sorry if it was too much.
[ Fingers rub along Junsu's back, as gentle as he can make them, his free hand cradling the back of his boyfriend's head. Junsu can probably hear how fast his heart is beating, at this point.
But he doesn't matter, right now, not when Junsu's crying. ]
[ kwang's heart is beating fast and so is junsu's. he shakes his head against his chest, then lifts it so he can look at kwang. ]
No.
[ he sniffles, then smiles, even though he bets he looks a bit wrecked, red eyes and wet cheeks and red nose, but he can't exactly stop crying when kwang gifted him something which might be small in his eyes, but huge in junsu's.
after spending his life hearing from the people around him who supposedly loved him that he needed to grow up, that he was delusional, that he was crazy, that magic was never something he could have — being gifted it is beyond measure. ]
[ The worry recedes a little when Junsu insists that it's not too much - that was the part that had gripped Kwang the most, that maybe he'd scare him away by going too far too fast.
It's not small, in Kwang's eyes. It's huge. It's important, because it's more than just magic. He's giving away a piece of himself, and giving it t Junsu to guard and care for. It's definitely not small.
Kwang takes a small breath, and finally smiles, looking down at Junsu, leaning in for a gentle kiss. ]
I'm glad you like it. It was important for me that you have this.

[ junsu is spotted making his way to kwang shortly, waving over at him as he oversteps a log and pushes a branch aside. ]
